What's a Referal?

Under my statistics page, there is this thing call Referals and it says I have 1. The only problem is I have no idea what it means. I searched the site, but I can find no posts on it.

Would anyone be willing to tell me?

You referred one person to AW is what I think it means.

It means a new member joined AW and indicated that you had suggested they do so.

I have 2 - I'm sure I've ~~dragged more people in~~ gently encouraged more people to join AW than that though...

For the stats-minded: Maryn holds the AW referral record, with well over 100 members she's mugged off the streets and press-ganged into joining.
