What's the worst way you can think of to die?

Oh, here I thought you were looking for someway to kill a character off. Rats. Got some doozies for that.

Personally, I'm not into pain. Anything really lingering and painful would be worse for me.

In my sleep, in one of those dreams where I have no voice with which to scream out (although I try and try), while sneezing.

My head explodes.

Cause unexplained. Insurance refuses to pay out. My children are forced to live on mac and cheese forever, and my husband is forced to marry for money.

Fire. Or being slowly boiled to death.

Practically any form of medieval torture is also pretty bad.

Being slowly boiled to death would be okay. I think it would be like the frog- you wouldn't notice. Wishful thinking.

Being alive in the first place is the worst (and only) way I can think of to die.

Never having existed? You weren't around at all to care that you aren't around in the future.

Living then dying? Pain and probably mind-crushing disappointment.

That's my vote.

The worst I can think of is like those who jumped from the World Trade Towers. The absolute horror. I think of my classmate who died on Flight 77 often, but I still think that something that could make that many folks jump from a skyscraper or burn to death, en masse, must have been worse. Just hell on earth.

Worst way? - probably sequestered - all by myself - in some dreary, gloomy little room - with no one to talk to - except my few interwebz friends on some forum somewhere...

Remember that episode a few years ago, the freakoid woman who was abducting women and drugging them so they couldn't move and dressing them up like dolls?

And Spenser told us that after a couple of months of paralysis that the women would stroke out from lack of stimulation. That's got to suck!

To be paralyzed in one position for months, unable to move, communicate, but fully conscious.

In the 'real life' catagory - I think burning to death would be bad.
