I'm editing my late father's WWII memoirs.
I ran across a few terms I don't know.

#1 CCR AD
Context: CCR 9th AD
(I know that 'CCR' is 'Command Control Reserve', sort of
like an alternate regiment)

#2 CCC
Context:
"These coats were from the stocks that had been issued to the CCC boys during the depression."
"I believe that the detachment of POWs occupied a camp that had been part of the CCC program."

#3 Hdg.
Context: 1st Bn. Hdg. Co. (First Battalion Hdg. Company)

#4 Rpt.
Context: "407 Rpt. Co., 104 Rpt. Bn."

Not a WWII expert, but I know that CCC was the Civilian Conservation Corps, Roosevelt's answer to mass unemployment -- get the boys out in camps planting trees, building dams, and basically fixing up the environment. It was a big deal in the 1930s. I once haf a job cataloguing ancient mimeographed CCC camp newsletters.

I think these are correct:

#1 CCR AD
Context: CCR 9th AD:

Command Control Reserve of the Ninth Armored Division

#2 CCC
Context: "These coats were from the stocks that had been issued to the CCC boys during the depression."
"I believe that the detachment of POWs occupied a camp that had been part of the CCC program."

Civilian Conservation Corps

#3 Hdg.
Context: 1st Bn. Hdg. Co.:

Headquarters Company of the First Battalion

#4 Rpt.
Context: "407 Rpt. Co., 104 Rpt. Bn."

407th Replacement Company of the 104th Replacement Battalion

Chase, old enough to remember the brown boot army
