How have you managed your pre-orders? Do you use PayPal or a shopping cart of some kind? Or just a spreadsheet you manually fill out?

I'm planning on launching my book on September 29, but I'd like to take orders starting August 15. Just need to figure out the best system.

my hubby takes pre orders for books for his company. he has an email address that people can order it from, and then he has them all in one place.

I might be wrong but I think there's legislation which prevents you taking payment (or perhaps full payment) for products which aren't yet available. It's worth checking, just in case.
