It still does not have a title, hence why I'm calling it "the house-burning story," but the story itself has been completed, and it's been through a very helpful and very quick beta, and I have a few leads on markets once it's been properly polished.
This story has been in the works for months, and it's the longest short story I've written in a very long time (I'm a fan of longer form short stories), and I keep reading it waiting for it to need a lot more work, but it doesn't need it. It needs tweaking, yes, but it doesn't need a pile of new words (like my last story did), and it doesn't need a rewrite (as a current work does). It's almost ready, and I'm very excited.
Now, to come up with a title.
