Hello All!
I just started a local writers meet-up group on meetup.com. We are starting out with weekly free-writing prompt meetings, and I hope to do critique groups as well.

My co-organizer was thinking it would be interesting to host some of the meetings online. She said that with the new google+ you can have video conferences with several people.

I think this is a great idea!

I was thinking that this may be a cool way to get people from all over as well, so we are not just limited to Orange County, CA.

We could do both free writing and/or critique groups where the submissions are read beforehand and then discussed.
I already have it worked out how this would be accomplished.

My question for all of you would be, would you be interested in this sort of thing?

Let me know by posting on this thread, and I will update and try to contact those interested when it becomes a reality. You can also PM me, but I would prefer a post.

Thanks!

I would be if it was very easy to participate. I typically shy away from lengthy or complex registrations/procedures to join groups.

Critique circles do already exist here.

Check out the Critique Circle stickied post in the Novels Forum.
