If you dislike owls, we don't want you here.

I am fond of owls. Exceedingly so. I love them, with their irritated little faces and their ridiculous noises. There is an antique shop in the city with a live owl they keep in the staff room. I WANT TO WORK THERE.

Here is a picture of a grumpy owl. This owl was small enough to fit in a pocket. I was tempted.

Do you have any owl pictures? I'm not interested in the ones that are already all over the internet. If it's from a meme, assume I've seen it, because I seek them out. I REALLY LOVE OWLS.

If you love Owls too, you are welcome. You are also welcome if you love cats, wolves and ducks.

Over the summer, my local zoo does an event 3 or 4 times called Wild About Wines. It's quite nice, with 9 or 10 wine and food stations set up around the zoo. It's after zoo hours, all adults, and you just wander around, drinking wine, eating food, and checking out the animals. I love it. At the event last week, one of the animals that was out and being walked around was a mini owl of some kind. I have pics of it on my camera at home and I'll come back and post them.

Also - budgettravel.com is having a cutest zoo baby contest. Please feel free to vote for Caspian the Eurasian Eagle Owl at the Cincinnati Zoo. :) We'd love to have the votes for him.

WHO? (ha ha, a lil owl humor there you see)

Do you remember the 70's, when owls were the in thing in knick-knacks? If I remember right, it was around the time of macrame, burnt orange and that nasty army green.

Also, do you accept pictures of people who look like owls?

In the elementary schools here, a highlight in Science class is when they get owl pellets. Apparently, owls eat their prey whole and the pellets will be that little creature's whole skeleton, plus whatever. They vomit them up. I have no idea how they get them, but it's really gross and the kids love it.

Yeah well that concludes my knowledge of owls.

It's been a real hoot. (har-de-har-har)

I was born in 1985, so remembering the 70's would be a feat. But I'm glad they're back 'in.' I have a littl necklace with an owl pendant. The owl has a clock face in it's belly.

In general I enjoy pcitures of people who look like animals, so I will accept pictures of people who looke like owls.

Guardian- I love those owl pictures. My favourite is the one with the big puffy face.

Grrrraaagh- that sounds like a pretty awesome zoo experience. The zoos round her have owls, and I think sometimes they do a 'bird of prey' experience so you can feed them. I'll have to do that some time.

I am hunting down in my pictures for owls. I know I have more than one.

Owls are beautiful birds. It's so exciting to hear an owl's call since it is so rare around here. Screech owls are quite common.

I love owls, too! I don't think I have any on my land, and I want to encourage them to live here.

I have 6 hawks, though. Love me some hawks. I even saved a hawk once and took it to a wildlife rehabber. They are so light!

But yeah, I haven't seen owls here :(

There's a local owl rescue here. Every weekend they bring out half a dozen of their friendliest, most curious and bravest owls to the town centre for people to stroke, hold on their arm (they bring a spare glove) and have photos with. Lovely birds, all of them.

We had an owl in the trees near our place in Connecticut who sounded like a horse
