I tried to use Google, but my translation translates back to gibberish... I'm taking that as a bad sign! :S

Is anyone competent enough in Latin to tell me how to say: A thorn by any other name would still cut as deep?

Err . . . no.

I'd try posting a new thread in the International forum; there's a super Latin thread there with lots of good folk.

Or asking alleycat, the mod, to move this thread there.

I shall use my magic wand (if the batteries aren't dead) and move it to International.

Here, there, everywhere.
The Latin thread is here - you might consider posting directly on it and asking the great folks there for help. Good luck!

No worries.

Maybe you should even use the subjunctive vocetur instead of the indicative vocatur.

It becomes even if called.
