My French is poor and my google-fu in French, similar.

I'm looking for a French derogatory term for Chinese people, something equivalent to "chink".

Any suggestions?

My research method of saying "bonjour" to everyone on omegle.com is not workinggggggg. D: I don't know what else to do. Sorry.

At least you tried! I'd say bonjouring people on chat sites is above and beyond the call of Story Research too. So, virtual medal to you.

My French Google-fu is giving me:

un/une chinetoque

or

un/une asiate (or is it just the adj form that's offensive here?)

eta: the first one looks much worse... you find it in youtube comments, so ya know...

That looks like the one! Google Translate translates chinetoque as chink. So, perfect. :)

The two French boys sitting next to me tell me that 'chinetoque' is kind of old. They came up with 'un bridé' (which refers to stretched eyes, but translates directly to 'restrained'). Alternatively, 'tong' just because of the sound (apparently a take-off of how Chinese people speak).

jaune ami - yellow friend (maybe a reference to Pink Panther? don't know)
kutchi (coutchi) - as a reference to the sound Japaneese cameras make

Out side the beltway...
The french would never have a derogatory term for Chinese people...

They are beyond that sort of thing...

That certainly fits the rhythm of the dialogue better. Thanks! I may just use that instead.
