Hi, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in reading my novel called "Ego Duelist," and yes, I will beta in return if you have a book =] (except for erotica, sorry). It's a YA epic fantasy and around 100k. I have had a beta/editor go through the first half of the book several times so that's pretty polished, but unfortunately for me she got busy in RL, so the second half of the book has not been seen by any other eyes except for my own =/ I would like to work with someone who will work with me through the end. I really want someone who will take this seriously and finish the book. I'll post a summary below, but please let me know if you are interested by either posting in this thread or PMing me. Thank you, and I hope to hear from anyone very soon!
Summary:
Eighteen-year-old Diana Constantine must win a sword-fighting tournament in order to rescue her twin brother. Diana is terrified, but she is determined to win, by blind luck if necessary. The only problem is, she hasn't picked up a sword in ten years.
However, Diana has a second personality – the Ego - who sword fights very well.
The mastermind behind the tournament plans to use the Ego’s power to exterminate those he deems as evil, such as liars and murderers. He must take Diana’s life to gain the Ego and utilize its power to be a god above all else – and her brother may be the perfect tool for him. If he succeeds, Diana fails her brother and the world.
