Oops, that should read POSITIVE query response!

I queried the editor of an LGBT newspaper in Chicago a few months ago about a non-fiction article I wrote. After no reply, last night I sent a quick query check-in, expecting rejection. Instead, the editor responded immediately, said she hadn't received my query, and told me they are working on a multi-part series on the topic I wrote about. She said "perhaps" they could use my work! Today I sent my article, and again the editor replied right away, saying she would read the article and get back with me in a couple weeks because they are currently busy with Pride. This is my second positive query response ever. The first one was just a couple weeks ago and resulted in local publication.

Usually my query submissions result in "we aren't looking for this type of story". But this time, they definitely ARE looking for this type of story. So now all I have to worry about is whether my writing sucks! *biting nails*
