NEW YORK, June 5, 2011 — Harry Bernstein, whose acclaimed memoir of an English childhood haunted by anti-Semitism — "The Invisible Wall" — was published when he was 96, has died at 101.

Nothing too sad about this, except some of Harry's childhood experiences. As I turn 70 this month, Mr. Bernstein's triumphs instill me with great hope.

I'm not familiar with his work, but anyone who manages publication at 96 is someone I admire greatly. Hats off to you, Mr. Bernstein. Peace for all time.

Maryn, glad to know about this
