I've been craving Chips and Salsa for several days.

I finally went to a Mexican restaurant near my job and bought an extra-large order an hour ago.

Ahhhhhh,

Satisfaction! :snoopy:

What are you craving right now?

Yesterday, I just had to have chicken salad so I thawed out chicken, cooked chicken, chopped chicken, made salad, refrigerated salad... it only took me three to four hours! =)

I was craving pasta, and I had it last night. Mmm mmm!

Right now I'm craving coffee, and lo! There's some right in front of me!

I might have some Nutri Grain in a little while. Iron Man food, apparently...

Fried chicken drumstick. Still haven't gotten it. Can't stomach KFC and getting into the only restaurant that makes it decent has to wait until I get paid next week. Housemate won't make it at home (I don't know how and am not to be trusted with hot grease) because it's not on her gym-diet.

*sigh*

It better taste REAL good, when I get it.

I'm craving nothing right now. But when I have them it's usually comfort foods.

Don't laugh - broccoli.

Seriously.

I eat very healthy and genuinely love it. I was eating too much salad and bought a bag of steam-ready broccoli and ate it with a little parm sprinkled on top.

Yummy!

Right now...popcorn. Again, I do it pretty healthfully, but the problem is that I eat a TON of it. LOL

Guacamole. Seven layer dip. And lots of salad. Nothing better in the summertime!

A spicy crispy chicken sandwich with buffalo sauce and pepper jack cheese. AKA, a heart-attack on a bun.

My problem with eating right (?) is that I can do it for months and then my body just has to have something fatty or sweet or both. This time it was Banana pudding, but the last time I made it, the recipe wasn't what I wanted, so I found a nice old recipe today!

It took at least an hour and a half to make, and forever to cool!

but it was exactly what I wanted.

.... mmmm. My treat for being good. =)

corn on the cob with butter. Oh gods, do I crave it. The other half finds it inconvenient to eat though, so I rarely buy sweetcorn that hasn't already been worked off the cob.

Seriously.

Nothing weird about it. It'd make sense for the basic mechanism of cravings to be related to encouraging us to eat things that will give us a boost of something we're lacking. Even people craving fat sometimes; if you're eating a strict low-fat diet, your body is going to want it. We need some fat in our diet, so it makes sense after a certain amount of time your body will cry out for what it needs.

At times I crave spinach; one time, for a whole week I was cramming spinach into every meal, eating it raw while waiting for it to wilt in the pan and still wanted more after eating. Other times, I get a powerful urge specifically for a fresh banana smoothie; just a banana blended with some milk, nothing special, but my body wants it. I hate the taste of citrus fruits and I'm sensitive to the acidity, but if I don't remember to have my regular rosehip tea for the vit c I'll end up devouring 2-3 oranges in a single sitting then complain that the acid burnt my tongue.

I'm craving pickles these days. Been eating 2-3 a day for the past couple of weeks. Also, always Taco Bell (I'm not entirely certain they don't lace their sauce with crack...).
