Thursday May 19th:

Voting is now open for the spring AW Poetry Contest!

Please read the poems of our own AW members and pick your top three in one or both categories and PM poetinahat (http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/member.php?u=1716) with your votes! See his instructions below:

Something Contest:

Any AW member in good standing is allowed to vote!

Members who have entries MUST vote
(to be eligible for the contest prizes.)

How to Vote
Once the poems are posted, you may send me your vote via PM one vote per current AW member in good standing, also using the private message function.

The subject line of the PM should be:

VOTE: NOTHING Contest.
or
VOTE: SOMETHING Contest.

In the body of the message, include up to three votes in order, from first to third. List both the poem number and the title. For example:

3. Emptiness
7. Blank
8. Nowhere You

Voting will close at 11:59PM US Eastern on May 29, 2011. Any votes received after that time will not count.

I will then post complete results with vote totals for every entry, and announce the winner.

If you win, I'll need a mailing address of course. I'll either mail it to you myself or have it sent from an online distributor.

So you've got Nothing to do. Get on it. Good luck!

Thanks to all of you who help support and encourage all the talented writers here at AW!

Warning: You'll have a hard time voting. The quality of all the poems is just that good!
