I know with a bit of water and friction, sheep's wool becomes felted. Does anyone know if wool from an llama or alpaca also felts? I would think it does but would like confirmation. Not sure if this will show up in this WIP or another yet

Alapaca and llama both felt just fine. You can felt a lot of different animal fibers. Rabbit felt is used for making hats. Even dog hair felts.

Home - but for how long?
Yes.

Providing the water was hot enough, and there is enough friction in the form of bashing or rolling most fibres can be felted.
