So excited! I went for an audition for a new musical, for the part of a woman with a man-done-her-wrong...and, yes, I got the part! YAY!

It's wonderful for me because I've been out of showbiz for about 6 years now and I really needed to be in something that agents could see. Also, I have a lot of contacts where I work, and if some of them could see me in something, it might lead to other stuff. I mean, we're talking Steven (Dr. Who) Moffett and Dawn (Big TV Honcho) Airey and Trevor (big theatre producer) Nunn, here. Not that there's any expectation any of them will turn up to see me, but at least they'll know I'm employable in the acting field.

It's called Stardust and it's at the Millfield Theatre in London.

And I'm so bloody happy.

Right, I'm off to buy champagne.

Congratulations! Enjoy every minute of your return to the theater. Now that I'm getting old enough to play Lady *the Scottish play* instead of yearning to continue to play Kate the Shrew (Elizabeth Taylor be damned!) I may follow my first love again at some point.

Break a leg and have a great time.

Do we have a venue for the next London meet?

Is that Neil Gaiman's Stardust?

Congratulations! Even if it's not, LOL!

"Celebrating Harlem and the black musicians of the 1920s and 1930’s, Stardust pays homage to the time of Manhattan nightclubs like The Cotton Club and Savoy Ballroom where piano players were banging out the new beat known as swing"
I've not read Stardust yet, but that doesn't sound like Neil Gaiman. ;)

ETA: Oops, congrats by the way! :D

That's awesome!

I have mild aspirations of acting. More like daydreaming just long enough to realise that I'm no good at remembering lines... Whoops!

Go knock 'em dead!

Thanks, everyone!

It would be cool as rum n raisin ice cream if any AW-ers could make it, but I'm not holding anyone to it.

Millfields Arts Centre is in North London (I mean, sherpa-North). Will keep you all posted.
