I had one. I bought many pretty things. Such pretty things, that are completely impractical.

I also bought books, because I'm an addict.

Now, I am going to sit here, rolling around in my pretty things (uncomfortable, as some are made of metal) and blessing the money I had aside for precisely this reason.

If you had enough spare money for a decent sized shopping spree, what would you buy?

A house...

I love the one we're in, but our new neighbor's *barking* dogs are getting on my nerves!

Tall, blond and muscular. Good odd job men are hard to find!

A new house. Verny's problem is barking dogs, ours is savages (unsupervised children) screaming non stop.

Wow, you guys' ideas of a shopping spree and mine are totally different.

A spree for me would probably be a dozen hardcover novels and several outfits from a good department store, rather than property and cures for diseases.

Although small amounts of substances which render mammals unable to make noise might also constitute a spree, if I were in your situations...

Earrings. I love them.

Books. Lots.

A house where Mr.Manly-Man, the neighbor, can't see me and I can't see him.

I'd buy my husband a boat. Fishing is his thing, and all we have right now is a little John boat that tipped over last time, and he's sick of it. Plus, I can't go out with him b/c there's no potty. So I'd buy a nice boat that those of us not fishing can enjoy as well.

Not that I don't fish. I do. But I would like to be able to sit in an at least semi-comfy seat with a book when I get bored. :)

And more books. I too, am an addict. I can't get enough!

Books.

A cure for fibromyalgia. Or at least a decent research facility.

More books.

Mine would have to be travel.
Buy a house that had plenty of rooms to house my personal library.
And get more books.
