So I am being stubborn and uploading my ebook to iBookstore myself, rather than doing it via Smashwords. I just spent so much time making my epub document pretty and I really dislike a few of the small things that the Smashwords meatgrinder did to it.
iTunes has given me the thumbs up to upload to iBookstore and I'm using iTunes Producer to do it. However, every time I try to upload I get the following error:
ERROR ITMS-9000: "element "em" from namespace "http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" not allowed in this context" at Book (MZItmspBookPackage)
At first I thought it was because I used <em> </em> for italics. So I changed it to <cite> </cite> but then it gives me:
ERROR ITMS-9000: "element "cite" from namespace "http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" not allowed in this context" at Book (MZItmspBookPackage)
I tried <i> </i> and got the same thing.
Has anyone encountered this? It's making me crazy!
