That's terrible. The darn things made such an impact on us. I'm going to have to buy every single one in every Op Shop in my city now.

At least there are still garage sales and flea markets.

A few years ago Brother claimed that the worldwide market for typewriters was holding at a surprising 250,000 a year.

Even Olivetti has abandoned the typewriter and reassigned the trademarks Studio, Lettera and Lexikon to printers and other products.
