Which of the following phrases spilling out of your keyboard might indicate to you that you're brain is somewhat fried, and perhaps you really should stop writing for the day?

(that, and didn't we need a silly poll?)

Kentucky, somehow.
There's a couple up there that would make wicked cool band names. Tornado Bunnies? I can see an all-girl punk rock band scooping that one up.

And I think "The Ominous Shelf" could lead to some hilarious horror short stories. This thread is already getting spooky.

I think I could find a decent use for all of those phrases...

Except "Orlando Eggplant Blooms". Actually, no, wait... an eggplant bloom in the city of Orlando. Ha!

Okay, so I'm totally stealing all those lines. ;)

Actually, you could make a Short Story prompt whereby people have to write something that uses all those options at least once. :)

You really shouldn't work past 2:30 am. After this time I get either depressed or paranoid.

Having said that, it's now 3:10am. Nobody make any loud noises.

you martyr and shine.
I love "Saran wrap parachute."

I know it's time to stop when my characters get drowsy and start yawning.

In my latest MS, it was time to stop writing when I named my chapters some of the following:

The One-eye Love

A Fucking Beautiful Fucking Mind, John Nash's Garage

Like Paul Newman in Hud

and...

Clickety-clack Don't Look Back

(and the phrases in the poll would actually fit quite nicely in my very messed-up MC's narrative.)

eta: there was also a chapter called "More Fun with S Words" but there is no chapter titled "fun with S words" or even "S Words"

Yeah. It was time to stop writing. :D

The night before I posted this... I clicked on the 'last page' of each thread in the OP in order from top to bottom, and grabbed the first interesting word I found... then paired them up. Kinda like a game of 'stray dart dictionary'.

uh huh, I needed a break.

=)

I named a bunch of characters similarly. I was at a sports-themed restaurant. I took first and last names from baseball cards on the bar and mixed them around creating new names. :)
