ETA: This is probably a long shot!

I’m specifically looking for anyone who may have been a member of an un-cloistered Order and worked in the community around 1966.

I’m wanting to know of some of the influences Vatican II had on the Order and what penances might have been given for certain offences, for example missing Sunday Mass.

I'm also interested in how the order originated and from where, as well as some deeper issues such as the personal meaning of vows taken had and personal conflict with those vows, and also what eventually led to leaving the order.

I'm happy to be PM if anyone doesn't want to comment here.

I highly recommend "Through the Narrow Gate" by Karen Armstrong. She was a member of a teaching order from 1962-1969. The memoir is just fascinating, filled with lots of little details. She's a prolific writer and educator, so I would imagine if you contacted her she'd probably answer your questions.

A dark, evil place.
callalily61 is as ex a nun as one can get. You might want to give her a pm, although I know she wasn't around during the timeframe you're interested in.
