But that's okay, because now I'm a grandpa. Of twins!!!! A boy and a girl.

I'm not really a grandpa, but I've "adopted" a grandgirl. I spoil her and then listen to her mother fuss at me. It's a lot of fun. ;-)

My daughter still had a couple of weeks to go (so they would have been even bigger), but yesterday, she had pre-eclampsia, so they delivered the babies by c-section. She's tired, but doing fine. We'll see once the anesthetic wears off.

Ember went to NICU because she was having trouble breathing. She's fine now, but they kept her in NICU over night. I'll probably get to hold her today.

I'll try to post a picture of me with both of them.

Note of interest: Sleeping with a grandma is still great!

Interestingly, while I changed many a diaper when my daughter was a baby, I have entirely forgotten how. I am equally certain I would be unable to re-learn at this stage. I therefore intend to cuddle them until they become smelly, at which time I will pass them off to wiser hands.

Clever man. A grandpa for less than a full day and you've already been brought into the inner circle of grandparently knowledge. This strategy also applies to crying, vomiting, farting, and anything else remotely unpleasant.
