And hopefully a few partials and fulls! AND OFFERS OF REPRESENTATION....

Because I just sent out my baby into the world! It's out there, in the ether, being sneered at as we speak!

*high fives!*

:D I'm so proud! *tears*

Hey Miss M.,

I just sent mine out there too! I've only sent 4, because I want to see how this first small batch is received, but I'll be sending more after I hear back. I'm sending lots of good luck vibes your way!

Dear Author,

Not for me, but thanks for letting me see it.

There, that wasn't so bad, was it?

Best of luck with the real agents! ;)

Hope you get some bites. It can be a long, hard, sad process sometimes, but we're all here together. And you never know, you might catch something on the first round. I hope you do. All the best!

... And it's official, first rejection in. A form rejection, but nicely worded :)

I'm both excited and disappointed by that. Perhaps a rookie question, but what happens if you go through your entire list and everyone says no? I, uh, never thought about getting as far as that.

Good luck, Rosie!! :D

Rep me who you've queried?

... what happens if you go through your entire list and everyone says no?

Widen your list. Look at smaller presses or people you thought were a stretch.

Keep an eye on the places you've subbed to for changes in who works there - then you can resub to the new agents/editors who come on board.

I'm sure other people can come up with more. But you're not there yet!

In the meantime, as Uncle Jim says...keep writing. And good luck!

thanks guys :Hug2:

I've still got a stack on my list, but I've made a note of those ideas in case too!

Good job! I'm jealous since I'm still stalled in the editing phase.

Don't forget to do other things while you wait for the mail. Maybe give yourself a facial? Maybe email me and remind me to edit my book? :P

Great Job getting to this step and best wished for getting to the next
