You know, I started looking into Elan after I started catching all the links on your Facebook page. You hadn't named the school in the chapter I critiqued so I was curious about it. And I have to say, the whole situation is now fascinating me. (Probably wouldn' t be quite so fascinated if I'd been there with you.) I find it interesting first off that there's such a dichotomy of opinion among the alumni of the school--seems like 80% considered it abusive and maybe a weak 10% or so think it was the best thing that ever happened to them. I find it also interesting that in the wake of publicity about the school as of late, the people who perpetrated or enabled the abuse through their silence are crawling out of the woodwork like little worms to try and discredit the victims of that system--like they need MORE abuse in their adult lives. But I think what really gets me is that despite being investigated numerous times, the state never brought the school under stricter control. I don't understand it at all. I mean, I've looked into some real horrors--like Penhurst School (mental institution) in PA--that operated for decades while abusing its inmates. But this was supposed to be therapeutic?

I've read the posts, listened to the tape recordings smuggled out from the 70s, assimilated multiple accounts of abuse and lasting effects from students at Elan, and I'm just amazed. And to that--all of the knowledge I've gained is because of your and your manuscript, Wayne. What a great thing you've accomplished! I saw how the survivors of Elan were emboldened by your book, emboldened enough to come forward with their own stories--stories that have evidently finally had enough of an impact upon the place to close it down. Good for you!

And yes--when your documentary comes out, I'll buy it--and you can autograph it for me. How cool will that be?

You should be very proud of yourself. I'm proud of you. :)

You.Hero.

There were a lot of people in on this way before me. I just wrote it well

The funny thing is that the people who bash on the people who took this place down have been very complimentary about the writing :)

Then they call me a liar and a .....prick :D

I'm going to be interviewed by the Sun Journal reporter tomorrow morning if I'm not in custody by then. It seems I incited violence according to Clare Woodman, and the FBI has been called in to investigate. I never incited anything. I told Danny Bennison to go beat up children because that's what he does best.

You guys will write to me, right? :D

It's eerie though. Clare knows everything about me. Even things I thought I hid. Meh, none of them are illegal.....except the stealing a signal thing. I did that to throw them off my trail. I'll pay the fine, I don't care
