Hello all. I have been lurking around this forum for a while, and finally decided to join. I am more of a hermit writer, hiding behind a mask, not wanting to get noticed, but lately have decided to step out and begin this whole social process.
I write short stories, flash fiction, pieces of a novel and my current major project is a graphic novel. I am lucky enough to have a wonderful artist/cousin to work with me on this journey.
From what I have overhead in my eavesdropping, this seems like a great community of writers. It is one of the things that I love about this craft; there is a huge sense of community and camaraderie overall.
I look forward to getting to know some of you and hopefully some day I can return the favor and help others on their journey!

Kadeira, you join a legion of hermit writers. Sure, some of us are outgoing, real social butterflies, but being quiet or shy, alone by choice, and otherwise masked or hermited (new word!) is probably more common.

I'm sure not the only one who does the majority of my human interaction here. There is indeed a sense of community. Glad to have you as part of it.

If you go to the bottom of the page to the ‘forum jump’ you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. Most of the SYW areas require the password of ….vista. A word to the wise, (50 posts), it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. After you have been around here for awhile, then post something of your own for help. Good luck.

Take a wander around the various forums, there's lots to see and lots to learn, and even some fun threads too. Come along and pop on over to the Newbie Pub (at the top of the Newbie forum) and say hi, there's plenty of friendly faces that you can chat with and lots of banter. There's also the Question of the Day threads at the top of the Newbie forum where you can answer random questions.

Don't forget to read the newbie guide, and if you want to know what all the buttons mean check out this thread.
