I recently made changes to a manuscript I'm making the rounds with. The changes aren't much, just a prologue that's not even 500 words in length. (I did this because of some advice I got from a professional.) Now I got a partial request on the manuscript based on a query and a five page sample that did not have this new prologue. Should I submit the partial with the new change or leave it the way it is?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hmm. Personally I think I would keep the prologue but add a little note saying that it is a new addition. I'll be interested to see what others think, though.

I agree with Tromboli...however I am not an expert at all in this so...I have no idea.

If you feel the revised version is better then submit that one.

I agree with Sandsurfgirl. Just go with your gut, if its better send it. They will understand and if they like it better the other way they will simply ask you to change it back.

Thanks for the replies! I'll add it and put a note with my submission.
Now all I have to do is wait for the post office to open...
