Wow, there's a lot of love for the Over method!

I used to not care. Now I'm all about the Over.

At first I thought this was a thread where we could place bets.

Over. Always over. It's easier to work with that way. The same is true for paper towels. And if I see a roll that's being fed from under, I'll usually flip it and feel satisfied that I've done my part, however small, to help keep the universe balanced.

Under. Anything else is just wrong.

Except I have my loo roll sat on top of the cistern; I don't have a proper loo roll holder.

This thread reminds me of a seafood restaurant I frequent. It's a hole-in-wall place that has a roll of paper towels hanging above each table. It's a little tacky looking but functional, as you're never in need of wipes and can just reach up for more as the need arises.

As you can imagine, I never sit on the wrong side of a table where the roll is fed from under. I must be seated in such a way that the sheets are fed toward me from above, or I'll leave and go eat elsewhere.

Now the people who work there have been known to be smart alecks and will switch the roll while I'm away from the table, but I catch them every time and demand that things be set right or else I'll complain to management about their mistreatment of customers.

Are you kidding me? You mean it doesn't stay on the floor beside the toliet because there is a empty brown tube already on the bar and while we can sit for 45 mins playing Bubble Popper on our Blackberrys while we poo, we can't be bothersed to change the damn roll??!?!!

I don't know about you, but if it were taking me that long I'd want to have a cigarette afterwards for stress relief! Or I'd just give up. Or change my diet...

I've always preferred it over, but since having been a housekeeper for the past three years, the roll HAS to be over, or else, how am I to fold triangles at the end of the roll?

I'm just happy there's toilet paper there. I just put it on the roll and am done with it. Now I have to go see which way I put it.

It's over so the design is right-side up as it comes off the roll.
