I first got to the Mets.

I'm going to have to rethink my life.

Better than winding up with the Yankees.

You mean I've gotta cheer for Cleveland?

This ain't right.

No Blue Jays.

bah.

Haggis

I couldn't find them either. There must be some anti Canadia bias going on with that thing.

they are there - to the right of the center box.

Apparently I'm a Detroit fan.

Y'know, what? Good! Because lemme tell ya, being a Cubs fan all these years sure ain't been a field trip of rainbows and unicorns. Guh. I hate the Cubs.

Why are we even talking baseball? Isn't there enough pain in our lives already with query letters and brilliant story ideas that suddenly evaporate into banality and cats who flop down on top of keyboards even though your hands are hitting the keys in the middle of a writer's fugue like never experienced before?

Fucking Cubs.

I thought moving away from Chicago would help me separate from them, but no, didn't happen. Assholes.

Yeah, that is the Jays. I was reading it as "Royals." Kinda hard to make out.

drink decaf.

:D

If all it took was decaf to calm a Cubs fan's soul, the coffee industry would be the largest global employer.

No, not even stronger toxins like whiskey and beer can put a dent in the hopelessness, heartbreak, and despair that typify a summer of Cubs baseball. Trust me, I've tried.

Opening day, and it's already over.

Oh, like Cubs fans have it so tough. Why, I'll bet none of you were ever married to my ex.

They got it wrong--they said Dodgers fans don't get to the stadium before the 3rd inning. That's not true. Dodgers fans arrive on time, they just all leave in the 6th inning :D

Ugh, Marlins. I knew I was doomed for a loser when I said I was afraid of large crowds. If I fudge and say I'm not afraid of large crowds (it isn't a fear, but an annoyance :)) then I get Angels.
I can't come up with a scenario that I'm anywhere close to landing on my beloved Phillies.

 Yeah, when I backtracked from the Cubs as my starting point and saw the categories of traits I'd have to take ownership of to get to the Cubs as "my team", I decided it just wasn't worth it. Being a Cubs fan is painful enough; no need to pile on, yeah?

Okay, why all this Yankee hatred? Oh yeah, everybody hates a winner, don't they? ( 27 World Series wins! Heh heh heh!) I know, they just got swept by Boston, but it's still early and we're only 2 games back. Have to find a good reliever to fix the bullpen and we'll be okay. In the end, it will be another epic battle between the Yanks and the Sawx. Round 974!

Turns out I'm either a Mets or Indians fan. Well, that's disappointing.

Go Sox!

(Though I will say that my love for the Sox as a team is a contributing factor to my deteriorating love of MLB.)

Thanks Cray. Have lots of Philly fans in NJ. We don’t talk baseball; got too expensive to replace the furniture.

Cliff Lee is a bastard, even though he got my team through the playoffs last year.

According to the chart, I don't even get a chance to contemplate who is ruining the country. I wound up a Blue Jays fan, which sucks.

Go Rangers, though.

blacbird
07-22-2011, 09:00 AM
Cliff Lee is only a semi-bastard. He didn't go to the Yankees, remember. And he loved his little stint in Philly in 2009, and excelled in the playoffs, winning the only two games they won in the World Series against the New York Sonsabitches. Plus, he likes the idea of actually hitting, and hit his first major league home run a week ago.

Oh, yeah, and then there is that matter of playing for the team with the best record in baseball.

But, officially, I'm rooting for a Phils-Rangers World Series (Phils to win). And I really like that Ogando guy the Rangers have. Big future star, mepredicts.

I agree with you dear, flow chart is totally wrong, I do't think so that their
is any realty in this chart. This chart just to tease the yankee fans.

Editorial update. Oh, yeah, and he leads all baseball in shutouts (5, plus an 8-inning stint last week, giving up no runs).

Oh, yeah, and then there is that matter of playing for the team with the best record in baseball.

No editorial update required.

Oh, and yeah, he's probably the third best starter on that team.
