I'm a junior year film student. I minor in screenwriting and have an interest in writing novels as well.

I've been looking for a place to get feedback on some of my work as well as general writing advice. I came across this forum and saw that it got a lot of traffic and thought it would be perfect.

What does one have to do to post in the "share your work" section. I'm able to reply but not start new threads. Is there a waiting period or do I have to post a certain number of times beforehand?

You have to have 50 posts. :) Once you have that many you can start a new thread in SYW.

If you go to the bottom of the page to the ‘forum jump’ you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. Most of the SYW areas require the password of ….vista. A word to the wise, (50 posts), it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. After you have been around here for awhile, then post something of your own for help. Good luck.

You have to have 50 posts.

You might pause long enough to read The Newbies Guide. In fact, I'd urge you to do it sooner rather than later.
