Hello!
My name is Emily and I have been writing for many years. My main interest for a long time was Fanfiction, as is the way that a lot of people gain an affinity for writing. When I was thirteen I got an idea, however, for a completely original story, no, saga. I scribbled for days on end, laying the groundwork for this universe I wanted to create. Eventually, though, I not so much lost interest as got overwhelmed by all the work I had put into it and set it to the side. Over the years I've added to the scribbles, but nothing more has come from it.
I happened onto these forums once, YEARS ago. I recall bookmarking Uncle Jim's forum and reading through it when I had the time. Today, I am back, through a Google search for the top 101 best writing dedicated sites. I took time to read over a lot of this amazing community and develop a game plan for getting my BIC and working on what I had set out on.
I plan on picking up those pages of notes I've taken and try to formulate my first chapter, if not completely hammer down the plot. During this, I will consider visiting the Sandbox section to get some feedback. Once I get my fifty posts in and have my first chapter, it's off to SYW to see how my work has paid off.
I hope I can experience everyones support and help and wisdom as I start my path down the road to publication.
