well, I can only imagine how silly he must have looked wearing a wingsuit to begin with. Especially since it didn't even work.
I've broken way too many bones, and about four months ago I had to help the hubcap stitch up his finger without the benefit of a numbing agent. I've grown jaded... though the first suture through the skin did give me the heebies. Still does come to think of it. Uck.
It worked. The idiot just decided to buzz a bridge @ 1 foot instead of like 30-40' and hit a cable. Cable + 120 mph does bad things to your body. His friend flew through his entrails according to the story.
