Because this (http://dianedooley.wordpress.com/2011/01/27/the-book-pile-ten-ruby-trick-by-julia-knight/) is a great review.

I love that it's not Van Gast getting all the love, the reviewer has a soft spot for my other POV, Holden. I always had a soft spot for him too...

Dark, nuanced and complicated - how could I not love that?

*Hugs review*

Excellent review - the book was already on my "to buy" list, but it's now up there at the top (well, along with Ink & Steel by Elizabeth Bear, which is genre research) :)

Hearty congrats and a great reason to open that bottle of wine that seductively beckons. So I'll raise a glass or two later.

I have got one, ahem, problem though. The thread title. If George is a cuddly name I'll need to pick something else for the ever so manly, hard-drinking MC in my WIP.

But seriously. Enjoy the review and let's hope tis the first of many, aargh. I even went into pirate speak there!

Regards

Whacko

It's a reference to a classic Looney Tunes cartoon about the Abominable Snowman:

I'm pretty sure it's George from 11 Downing Street.

No, he's a cad from Thackeray's Vanity Fair:

I was thinking George the werewolf from Being Human. He's cute enough to hug :)

Aww he was cute!

You obviously haven't seen my post about a Reality TV death match between Osborne and Jordan in the car park of a service station on the M1 (in jelly naturally), that hopefully ends with them killing each other simultaneously and - if there are any gods -getting Blair with the ricochet....

I try to avoid reality TV at all costs.

So do I. But a Death Match between Jordan and Osborne? I'd pay good money...and extra for the jelly :D
