My Salukis ran down the steps after the super painted the hallways, and they had racing stripes for two weeks

And here I thought she was cyanotic from a circulatory disorder.

Just be glad she doesn't have to go to the vet for expensive surgery!

Be glad it wasn't one of the cats. You don't wnat to discover the wonderful world of cat washing.

Did that a couple months ago when the dog brought us the lovely gift of fleas. Both cats, bathtub. They've been bitter ever since... which is probably why when I painted my office there were little kitteny prints on the leather chair. Luckily I caught them before the dried.

Paint the rest of the dog, and she can become a TV star. Like on "Blue's Clues".

You forgot the first rule of interior painting: confine the pets elsewhere. Water based paint, I hope?

Nope, no pictures. Sorry. I was trying to get my son's room done before he came back from his dad's. It was a surprise as was blue dog. The rug is stained, not too bad since it was latex and I always have water and rags on hand - I throw caution to the wind and paint sans plastic.

She usually stays out of his room, but she brought me her toy to look at. I think she wanted me to see it's broken.

:D :D

The handyman I hired (really bad back) spilled oil paint all over my old brick wall and on my Chow doggie as a twofer (falling off the ladder). I can't tell you how long that fluffy-butt wagged his green tail!

The dog, not the handyman :D

Ditto for gift wrapping.

Ditto for all things home-improvement. And the room with the breakables. And the room frequented by the allergic people in the house. :D

So... it's not necessary to wash the dog to get the paint off? Or is it just preferable to trying to give a cat a bath? (Which, incidentally, I am really hoping I never have to do. Both my cats LOVE water, but a bath... not so much, I think.)

I feel your pain. I am also currently laughing my head off. Just sayin.' :D

I miss having dogs in the house...

Alabama -my home sweet home.
I had a roommate who let her tortoise roam, and she left her oil painting out on the floor which take a few days to dry. So she wasn't home and the tortoise decided to walk over the painting and, well... I let him because I didn't really like her. He got little blue prints over her stuff, it was great.
