What are you doing on New Year's Eve?

Working on revisions. Yeah, I know, but I have a deadline.

I'll be sitting here writing

If I can't get my cable box fixed I won't even be able to watch football, damnit.

Writing - at least until the Old Man and Hobbit get back from the pub, at which point we shall watch near the knuckle comedy while getting larruped.

My last day larruping too-giving it up for January. I'm going to have to deal with reality! Oh noes! *gibbers*

Watch Jonathan Creek and polish off the Baileys. At 11:55 I'll head off outside and stand in the fog with lumps of coal and cheese until my wife lets me back in.

Gonna catch my usual once-a-week beer buzz, by hook or by crook.

I will be writing and chatting online with my muffin.

Mmm, muffins.

ANYHOO!

I'll be staying in and watching Being Human. Duh. And probably writing. I'll email a few folks to say 'happy new year' then go to bed.

I'm spending the evening at a house party with some of my dearest friends. No doubt we'll manage to stretch dinner to several hours and then watch the apple fall in NYC.

Good times...

I'm going to a friendly local pub where all the regulars go for Hogmanay. If experience is any judge, we'll sit drinking until some one
A) Falls over
B) Throws up
or
C) Falls over and throws up.

Still, at least I've got four days to get over it.

My wife and I are gonna have dinner, sans kids, then see Black Swan.

This evening, Hubby and I will fire up the huge fireplace in our saloon, eat too many munchies, watch the snowstorm, pull out our guitar and banjos and practice and sing in the new year. Can't wait!

We have a party with the wee ones on our agenda - pizza, cookies, popcorn, movies, games, the breaking of the wishbone from Thanksgiving...

Hmm. I planned on playing guitar really loudly for about an hour, from 11.30pm till 12.30am in 2011.

Unfortunately, sis and her boyfriend stayed in, and I don't play when people can hear me. So I wound up watching DVDs half the night (Futurama!) and then sitting on AW to ring in the New Year. Of course, I had my last smoke of the year at 11.54pm.
