Tell me, folks. What makes you giggle, smile, fart sunshine, etc., always and forever, no matter how silly or simple or even aesthetically questionable?

For me, it's probably Chuck Norris as Walker, Texas Ranger; those giant cake-sized cookies; and getting the hammer-brothers suit in Super Mario Bros. 3.

Go.

Any one of a number of my favorite foods prepared JUST RIGHT.

-- A really beautiful pot of tea.
-- A perfect medium-boiled egg over warm toast. (An over-medium fried egg over warm toast is just as grand.)
-- A chilled bed of fresh raw spinach served as the basis for the very warm (not hot, but very very warm) makings of spinach salad (sauteed mushrooms, crips hot bacon bits, red onions, and a wonderful and still-warm sweet-leaning vinagarette dressing).

Food done JUST RIGHT is the ultimate comfort and reassurance that life does indeed have goodness to it.

Douglas Adams and Bill Bryson always make me laugh.

Joss Whedon always entertains.

And the artist "chix0r" on deviantArt is phenomenal. (You should see my desktop background!)

And a special mention to every single band I adore (too many to name). It might not make me laugh, or be a feast for my eyes, but music goes straight to my heart. :)

Lol I do that at work all the time

Making babies never gets old, but I don't do that at work.

Also: Start with the part where Jayne gets knocked out by a 90-pound girl 'cause... I don't think that's ever getting old

The Matterhorn Bobsleds at Disneyland. Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons. Who Framed Roger Rabbit. A Christmas Story and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. "Police Squad!" and the Naked Gun movies. "Joy" by Apollo 100. "Baroque Hoedown" by Gershon Kingsley and Jean-Jacques Perrey. Switched-on Bach and its sequel albums. That first cup of coffee in the morning.

the way my pet geese come running/flying when I go outside and call them. They are so silly and just crack me up. Pets are awesome because they're always glad to see you.

AW related:

Logging on and finding no threads in Office Party have been closed since my last visit.

Guessing the correct answers in this (http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=178919) thread.

Crossing paths with members who make me smile.

Rep comments from people I don't know.

Teasing folks in general but especially when they're not sure if I'm being serious or not.

And my favorite is finding kindred spirits here whom I never would have met anywhere else on earth.

A Charlie Brown Christmas.

Ray Charles singing Georgia On My Mind.

Walking in the door and hearing the kids scream "DADDYYYYY" as they tear down the hall and leap into my arms.

People saying, "I love you".

The Three Stooges.

Summertime smells - mown grass, baseball gloves, zinc oxide, surf, hamburgers on the grill, warm rain on the street.

A day at Cedar Point.

The cool side of the pillow.

Bay rum.

Putting on the tux.

Believing in Santa Claus.

Christmas Eve.
Christmas Day.
Silly, sarcastic conversations with an old friend.
My kids' backseat conversations - though sometimes these confuse me, too.
My favorite songs on the radio, back to back.
Doggie smiles.
Guinea pig antics.

Everything grows old.

The Amish have a saying which is really a sage bit of advice, first to young men on how to choose a wife, and second to young women on how to keep their husbands:

"Luvin' gets old. Cookin' don't."

Hurling abuse at people I don't like on TV.
Drinking beer and watching Scrubs.
Quoting Blackadder.
Finishing the final draft of the current WIP.
Rubbing a cat's stomach.

Looking forward to the day I get an email that starts: "Dear Luke, we would be happy to publish..."

Quoting Blackadder.

What amazes me, Baldrick, is how you managed to get so much custard out of such a small cat.

How lucky you English are to find the toilet so amusing. For us, it is a mundane and functional item. For you it is the basis of an entire culture.

Thanks, Bridesmaid. Like the beard. Gives me something to hang on to.

Just a wild stab in the dark which is incidentally what you'll be getting if you don't start being a bit more helpful.

You've got me started now. You may regret this.

Turnip!

A poem called The German Guns...

"BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM...."

ETA:

And the quote that resulted in my wife telling me I am Blackadder:

Ludwig: You find yourself amusing, Blackadder.
Blackadder: I try not to fly in the face of public opinion.
