Mickey Mantle card

I need to know how much a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle baseball card would have been worth around 1979. I know a recent card sold around $275,000, but I couldn't even begin to guess its worth three decades ago. Any help/information is appreciated! Also, if anyone has fond stories of trading cards as a child/teen I'd love to hear.
