Details, but then I'm a bit of a nerd, I like to know things like file size often enough that it's worth leaving it in that mode.

Thumbnails, since the majority of my stored files are pictures.

Thumbnails for nearly everything on my Vista laptop.

On my XP netbook, it's thumbnails for photos, icons for songs within individual album folders and list for word documents in my writing folders.

Yes, I am that anal about organisation.

Details. It offers the best overview and makes finding files quickest. And filenames really need a whole line.
For image sorting and similar tasks i use a separate program.
