My hubs couldn't wait, especially since it's the height of baking season.

I couldn't believe it. I've admired these mixers for years but I never entertained the thought of buying one.

He's been squirreling away money for months and when I asked him why he would go back on our agreement not to exchange gifts this year he said "I've watched you go without so I could have things I didn't need but wanted. I wanted you to have something you wanted."

I'm. Making. COOKIES!!!

Ooooh, shiny. Congrats. I've coveted one of those for years (except I want cobalt blue). I *almost* bought one last night on QVC. Great price, blah blah blah. I restrained myself because 1) I rarely bake 2) I have no place to put it.

The best small stand mixers made. I've even used them in restaurant kitchens for small batches. They literaly last a lifetime.

That is one scary looking robot!

Wish my Old Man would buy me a robot. With the added laser attachment, obviously.

I made oatmeal raisin cookies with no stress on my jacked up elbows. What a joy. I predict we will be so sick of cookies by next week I'll have to move on to cake!!

I have one. I love it! I can make a quadruple batch of chocolate chip cookies.

But most of all, tiny terror, your story of what your hubby did for you is sweeter than any cookies you can make in it.

Bought myself a white one like that about five years ago. It sure makes kitchen work easy.

Did you get any attachments or are you planning on getting any? If so, which ones?

I know. I can't get over it.

Well, I'd never even considered being able to have one so I haven't looked at the attachments but I'm assuming they're like shoes. Gloria needs shoes.

If you don't leave your wet towels all bunched up in the bathroom it's a go.

Been a while since I made cake other than cheesecake.

I always hang my towels up and I launder them after a day or two's use (a habit I got into when I first developed eczema).

I like chocolate cake.

(Also bunneh casserole).

Not pretty, but yummy. :D Gotta make a big chocolate cake with some kind of filling since SP is coming to stay.

How about chocolate cake with a chocolate filling?

I'm a woman of simple tastes.

hey - men aren't simple. (oh, wait...)

Yeah, you know you've moved onto a more spiritual plane in your life when a kitchen appliance brings you great joy. (no, i'n not being sarky, i mean it. sadly enough - or not...)
