I hope I'm asking in the right section.
I'm a bit confused about the verb tense for the author bio. I read somewhere that it should be written in the present tense, however this reads awkwardly for things I've done 20 years ago. My gut is telling me to write past tense for things that are in the past and present tense for things that are current.
I've read so many websites and articles, but I can't seem to get a definitive answer. Thanks!

Hi Amy,

Welcome, I know the query letter and synopsis are written in present tense. I would think you would your bio in present tense. "Amy writes memoirs and....blah, blah, blah..." (use the blah, blah, blah at your discretion :D).

Bio in present tense only if you're writing about the present. Past tense if you're writing about the past.
