It's too cold. It's too dark.
It snows and doesn't stop.
Have to heat the house.
All the orange juice that never helps.

It's too cold. It's too dark.
All the extra pills that never work.
The end of the year, time-is-ticking
away and just-look-at-you crap.

Can't escape from everyone else
Can't go near a store, can't be any
thing but flat broke until next month.
It's too cold. It's too dark.

Will probably have to read somebody's
dumb "But I just love this month" hooey.
Can't fall asleep and wake up in January.

You could always hibernate in a cryogenic tank? Of course, waking up might be a problem this century... but I'm sure we'll figure out how to revive frozen peoples some time before the world ends...

But I just love the month of December,
First snowflakes,
Christmas decorations
Christmas shopping,
Christmas carols
Christmas cheers
And the end of another year....then I want to hibernate until April.

I hate the cold and the dark...BUT...

The bad stuff's outranked by the good stuff.

Christmas celebrations
Christmas music
Christmas shopping - find that perfect gift!
The feeling of warmth in the evenings with my family and a fire in the fire place
The crackling of the fire
The feeling of excitement Christmas morning - used to be for myself, now for my stepdaughter
Christmas baking
The joy of that first snow
Time off work!
Candle light services on Christmas Eve
hot chocolate (with Godiva liquor)

January...January I hate.

But December for me is full of warmth and love. :)

It getting dark so quickly is a bit depressing. Makes me think about how much time I spend in the office and not enough time doing what I love.

The commercialism of Christmas. I hate that it's shoved in my face everywhere I look.

Everything to do with Christmas, but most of all those "It's Christmas!" fake-jolly people who try to force the fucking thing on you and call you miserable for not participating.

No, I'm miserable because you think you only need to be nice to friends and family once a year and cripple yourself financially in the process.

The spending is out of control. Luckily my family have cut back. There really isn't any need. And if it's the gifts that make a good Christmas for anyone then something is terribly wrong in my opinion.

Unlike Eliot, I think that December is the cruellest month. Not only does Christmas Day lighten the wallet and burden the flexible friend, a lot of my family all want extra presents as they decided to be born on the last month of the year. Inconsiderate shower.

People who hold up the Salvation Army Bell Ringers.

Yep, it happened in my area a couple of days ago...

...Pulled up to the storefront, knocked the bell ringer over, grabbed the kettle, and jumped back in the car and sped off.

What a jackwagon!

Oh, I love December! It's January, February, and March that I hate.
December is wonderful because the Christmas decorations, family and friends, shopping, first few snowfalls, first snowball fight and snowman, Christmas music, sweaters, scarves, gloves, boots... and Christmas, of course!
