As we all start waking from our turkey-induced comas, it's time to start thinking about December's goals...good luck, everyone!

What are your goals?

1. Finish 2 short story first drafts
2. Finish submission package (query and synopsis) for The Cure
3. Formulate list of at least 15 agents for submission
4. Read through my novella in preparation for final edits

I love these threads.

I met my goal this November of running my MS past betas and doing heavy revising. December's goals:

- Finish fine-tuning my third draft of The Query.
- Begin querying. (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Finish working outline for draft two of current novel. Get deep into second draft (and well past that touchy needs-major-work first chapter.)

If Santa wants to bring me an agent, that would be cool, too. He doesn't even have to wrap him or her.

That sounds good

I'll be back

Finish Family Jewels and get it submission-ready, which means write its synopsis too.

I probably won't sub it 'til the New Year for a couple of reasons: I don't celebrate Christmas, but my editor likely does, and she already has another of my manuscripts anyway. Also, it'd be cool to start off 2011 with a bang - one book released, another on submission and please God, at least one of the two I already have out there, contracted!

I'll probably kick around a few ideas for further stories in my down time, too. So I'll be taking it easy this month, though still working steadily on my WIP.

I've just gotta re-focus and get on with my WIP. Thinks I'll shoot for 750 words a day for December.

2. Rewrite, edit and submit the Bunyip story
3. Begin formatting print version of Sanity Juxtaposed
4. Finish reading The Danger Game
5. Update and systematise a bibliography for my blog/website

1. Finish editing/beta-ing my first novel so that it's ready to send out in January
2. keep up with my 500 words a day goal for novel number 2

Yup. Not that many goals this month, but the ones I have are pretty big!

I'd like to finish my WIP so I can start editing or the new year :) It's a pretty big goal since I just started, but I guess its better to aim high! Hehe, good luck to everyone else! Keep me up to date on your progress!

My only goal for the month is to finish the first draft for my nanowrimo novel. Should be easy enough, right? Right??? :tongue

My goal is ...

1. Write something, which I already did. I wrote Christmas story addition for my war story, which needs its last dramatic chapter.

This month I want to finish the first draft of the story I'm working on (that still has no real name), tentatively called Three Fires. With the holidays and all, I'm aiming for 5k words a week.

Goals?
Er.. I've rarely made goals.

Let's go for it.

1. Stop Procrastinating and opening up distracting internet!
2. Get far in The Event
3. Get over my Depression
4. Survive

Not very good, but I suppose #2 is the only relevant one.

Good grief, Wayne, not intimidating at all!

Mamut, I think this is just December. LOL.

I've just recovered from a week of flu, so that's a lost week, but raring to go now! Seriously.

1. Final edit on W!ne 1mport book before publication
2. 10,000 minimum on new WIP

Good luck everyone!

I want to get at least 2/3 of the way through this rewrite in December.

I'd also like to finally get the snowblower attachment hooked up to the tractor: that would be useful. :P

Good luck, everyone!

1) Edit NaNo novel, try to get it ready for submission early-ish in the new year.
2) Finish my Valentine's Day erotic and submit before end of the month.
3) Write Valentine's Day romance short story for anthology for Jan submission.
4) Re-write academic chapter to re-submit for collected volume by early Jan.
5) Continue working on dissertation-to-book re-writes for submission (aim: Feb).

(All this might be snowed, depending on when I receive the next round of edits on my May release full length.)

Good luck to us all!

One down! Yay, I'm so proud of that.
Still working on two.

Also went to a two night class on memoir this month and have made some progress in that area, so I'm pretty happy here at the 1/2 way point for a change. :D

So I'll be taking it easy this month, though still working steadily on my WIP.I've put Family Jewels aside again because the editor I referred to above gave me a R&R on the book I'd already sent her. I want to get that revised and sent back before I see to FJ. Should be ready to return to it in the first week of the New Year.
