Just keep that avvy. You'll be duded more than you can deal with.

I like his pointy cover. :D

I'd like to know when I went from just 'Chris' to 'Mike's Mom' which his friends all scream when I pick the little booger up from the coffee shop after school.

Enjoy it now. When he's an old enough teenager he'll call you very naughty things. Like geezer and old fart.

I'm a mom who gets duded by my 13-year-old too.

Then my 9-year-old says "Daaa...I mean, Mom..."

Must be my avatar.

And to think that I'm very excited he's coming home for four days tomorrow night.

Maryn, total be-yatch

When my son called his mother a dude once, and only once, she politely corrected him. "It's dudette, your father is a dude..."

The look on his face when he turned around and realized he'd called me dude was the best part. :D And he'll never be big enough to call me naughty names, I spent too many years in the ring for him not to be afraid of crossing that line. :D

My son at 16 to 17 got into so many heated arguements with his mother. He never cursed her, but he would call her that woman or other hurtful names.

She asked me once why he never argues with me or calls me hurtful names.

I politely explained to her that he respects me to the point that he knows I will back up any warning I give him. I also listen to him, which she did not do. Lastly, I saw it as a phase he would outgrow, but she saw it as a direct challenge to her motherly command.

Years later at his wedding, she cried when they danced together and said she never thought she would see the day... It was a phase. Now he calls her asking for advice about his son.

His son is already calling him dude... lol.
