Okay, I didn't actually write those words at the end of my novel (not least because I wrote the second last chapter last) but....
I. JUST. FINISHED. MY. BOOK
My first novel, my first draft, one hundred fiddy percent finished. No joke.
Holy editing, batman. I'm very excited. I never thought I'd see the day. There were honestly some parts of this process where I wondered if I'd ever finish it.
My beta readers have it in their hot little hands as we speak and I'm so anxious to hear what they think of the ending.
Anyone want to join me in champagne? (any excuse, right?) next excuse:
