...that some people claim can reduce somebody's risk of catching the common cold, the flu, and other contagious ailments?

If I remember correctly, it's a name-brand nutritional supplement that's chock full of vitamins, minerals, herbs, etc. It's sold over-the-counter and it has a name something like "Enforce", or "Blockade"...something like that.

A former co-worker once told me that she swears by this stuff, but again...I can't remember the name.

???

I'm thinking about trying this Airborne or Immunity Booster or whatever it's called. Take huge amounts of it every day, and like...live forever.

In Canada, we have ColdFX, which does work but is expensive. Don't know if you can get it in the States, but it sounds like what you're looking for.

(Just Googled it, and it's even more local than I thought! Didn't check if you could mail order, though.)

I did some quick online research of Airborne, and learned that it might cause kidney stones in some users.

Kidney stones? Ouch! :scared:

And I just read an article that says there's a correlation between Airborne and male pattern baldness.

It's a cold. It'll go away after a few days. Instead of chancing your body to to so-called preventative methods that haven't been actually medically proven, try this: Wash your hands more often. And if you do get a cold: Stay home. Sleep. Drink tea.

That way, you'll actually acquire immunity. Which is really the only thing that will prevent you from getting that same thing (or one similar to it) again.

Pot bellies, too -- Airborne can give you a big ol' pot belly. That's what the scientists are sayin'.

Then it must be so. Because SCIENTISTS are saying it. On the internet.

I'm a pot-bellied bald scientist. I should know.

Of all things, Plumber's Butt. Airborne also causes Plumber's Butt, according to Wikipedia. I've always wondered why non-plumbers can sometimes get it; now I know.
