Heard this on the radio yesterday...
People with varying backgrounds volunteer to tell personal stories to anyone willing to listen. The librarian being interviewed on the CBC said the volunteers give 4 hours to the library are available for "loan" a half hour at a time (no late fees though).

It originally started as a method to promote interaction and understanding in order to dismantle stereotypes. But I thought it was an interesting way of bringing back live storytelling.
I voiced one of my shorts as if it was being told around a campfire by a grizzled old warrior, but it's been a long time since anyone told me a story.
When's the last time someone told you a story?
