The title says it all....

Just curious.

Oh, and if you have to ask...you're not a Thelemite.

I guess I'm not a Thelemite then... :)

I'm sure Bill Maher will tell us soon. I can see the campaign ad now: "I'm not a Thelemite..."

I used to be a Thelemite.

I still have quite a bit of Crowley hanging out on my bookshelves.

But, 'cha got better? :)

No, seriously. Did you recognize Liber 49 as holy gospel?

Another prophet shall arise and bring fresh fever from the skies. Another soul of man and beast shall mingle in the globed priest.

I was a member of a Thelemic order in Sydney for six months back in the eighties.

That turned out to be six months of no ritual magic whatsoever and no value at all. Frankly it was banal in the extreme although that is no fault of Crowley's. I suspect Crowley would feel the same way I do about the head of that particular order.

Still, it was an experience.

While I still see value in Crowley, for me at least, Vajrayana Buddhism resonates more strongly.

I would like to think that there are Thelemic and Golden Dawn groups that actually put on robes and get some practice in and that their practices lead to initiation.
