Gaborchind ?

One of my characters grew horns and a beard while I wasn't looking, and refuses to change back to his formerly human shape.

I googled goat-headed creatures. Encyclopedia Mythica mentions the gaborchend:

In early Irish folklore, monstrous goat-headed people. (pl. gaborchind)

I love the name, and Irish folklore suits the story just fine. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find anything more about these poor gaborchind. Has anyone heard of them?

I'm also curious about the pronunciation.
