This October seems more loaded with mainstream horror releases than usual. Any of the following (or some other flick I've forgotten) movies interest you this October?

Let Me In (based on the rather good novel... sort of a remake / re-adaptation)
Hatchet II (low-budget splatter-flick)
Case 39 (delayed by almost half a decade... probably not a good sign)
My Soul to Take (Wes Craven's supernatural slasher joint)
Paranormal Activity 2 (arbitrary sequel to last year's mega-profitable haunted house/person flick)
Monsters (Apparently more of a well-made, low-budget love story with an alien backdrop.)
Saw 3D (*sigh*...)

Let Me In definitely. Will probably check out My Soul to Take just based on it being Wes Craven (will checkout the trailer...is there one?). I will probably see Paranomral Activity 2, but when it comes to Netflix because I get motion sickness (yep, threw up at the first one and missed the last 15 min of the film, which i still have yet to see *eyes tearing*). Never heard of Monsters, will have to look more into that one and Saw 3D...NOPE. Won't do that one. Don't like any of those movies.

Whoa...okay, just watched the trailer for My Soul to Take and yeah...I'll definitely be seeing that one. Looks pretty good. I like Max Thieriot so that makes it a plus for me.

Just Let Me In and I Saw the Devil so far. I heard bad things about My Soul to Take, don't know anything about Monsters yet, and I certainly wouldn't pay to see another Saw film. Paranormal Activity 2 looks like a cash grab and I hated the first Hatchet film.

Definitely want to see Let Me In.

I was woefully underwhelmed with Paranormal Activity, so I will not be seeing Paranormal Activity 2 until it makes its debut on television I'm sure.

Monsters looks interesting, I think it'll definitely be on my radar to catch at the theatre.

Saw... eh, I've never been into torture porn, I want my horror movies to at least have a shred of a plot.

Another vote for Let Me In. I think I might look for the book too and the original film.

Case 39 has been available online for at least six months. It's ok but I have issues with the ending. I saw Monsters today. Not really a horror movie, but I liked it. I loved Let the Right One In, so I'm scared of watching the remake.

No movies I'm particularly interested in, but The Walking Dead miniseries on AMC looks fantastic. Frank Darabont directs, starts Oct. 31st. Trailer here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yg46DWI_fCE).

Interesting. The more I read up on Monsters the less intrigued I am by it. Not to say it looks bad, but the teaser and premise seemed to imply it could be a great, creepy movie featuring aliens. I keep reading about it being a "love story with an alien backdrop" which I find far, far less interesting, but that's me, and it might not be an accurate description after all...

That's exactly what it is. The monsters are on screen for a total of maybe 5 minutes (if that).

But it looks good and it's fascinating to realize that it was made for just $15,000.

YES.

I was all mannered of worried when I heard they were making it into a series (long time Walking Dead fan here!) but when I saw Darabont attached, my fears eased up.

Although I still say the guy they have playing Rick looks way too much like Viggo Mortensen for me.

I just want to say that I won't pay to see another Saw film. I saw the trailer for My Soul To Take, and it looks intriguing.

Let Me In. Loved the book. Loved the Swedish film. I've heard good things about this...adaptation.
