It's my intention to include a personalized blurb for each agent at the bottom of my query letters. I've been able to find relevant interviews that tie into my book, and it's helped me to refine my agent search to agents who truly are in the market for what I have too.

My question is this: Is it acceptable to refer to an agent's blog in a query in lieu of or alongside an interview? If they've made mention of something particularly relevant to my MS in one of their posts, would it be appropriate to include that as a reason I am querying them specifically?

Yes, if you say something like "I read in an interview that you were looking for a book with blah blah blah, and thought you'd be interested in mine"

Yes, absolutely. Referencing an agent's blog is a great way to personalize.
