I'm a happy camper today. I have made my first reprint sale. (Then again, is it really a reprint? It is the same story, the same title, same subject, just a higher word count).

It was rather surprising and not the way I expected it to go. I sent the story out to a market. The editor responded that the story didn't really fit the market, but that she had another that would love to publish it.

I thought the type of market that finally accepted it, wouldn't be interested. I guess I was wrong. Now I have a whole list of new markets to submit to :)

Technically a reprint would be the publication of a story that had been published somewhere else in the past. Don't know if that applies to yours, but CGs on the sale and finding new markets!

I'm on a roll, when I returned from a lovely weekend away in the Ardennes I had an email waiting from a podcast publication. The very same story now also sold its first audio rights :)
